Chinois Ibiza adds a second free PORTSIDE party

Chinois is bringing its free PORTSIDE open-air party back to Ibiza Port on Friday 11 September, adding a second edition to this year’s calendar for the first time in four years. Running from 6pm to midnight, “For Ibiza, With Love” will feature sets from residents Mahmut Orhan and Major League DJz, alongside Melanie Ribbe B2B Manu Gonzalez and Andrea Lane.

The initiative follows the success of the June edition, which brought thousands of people to Ibiza Port for a free night of electronic music. PORTSIDE was created by Chinois to connect the club with the island’s local community, visitors and businesses, with the support of the Ibiza Town Council, the Balearic Islands Port Authority and local residents’ and businesses’ associations.

Mahmut Orhan, recently back at Chinois with his “Sounds Like Pillowtalk” residency, will bring his blend of deep house, nu disco and indie dance. Major League DJz — South African twin brothers Bandile and Banele Mbere — will represent their Afro House-led sound, while Melanie Ribbe and Ibiza native Manu Gonzalez will play a back-to-back set. Hungary-born Andrea Lane completes the line-up.

The night continues at Chinois from 11:30pm with Major League DJz’s Echoes of Tomorrow residency, joined by Mahmut Orhan, Alan Dixon and Niiomi.
