Cosmic Sound: International Design Launches New Cultural Platform at Nomâde Ibiza

A new cultural platform dedicated to art, collectible design and contemporary culture is launching in Ibiza this autumn. International Design will officially debut with Cosmic Sound, an 11-day exhibition at Nômade Temple Ibiza, running from 30 September to 10 October 2026.

Presented in collaboration with Soleille Gallery, Cosmic Sound explores the relationship between sound, design, space and emotion, bringing together an international selection of artists and designers whose work reimagines the objects, materials and environments through which music is experienced.

The exhibition will transform Nômade Temple into a living cultural environment, with sculptural DJ consoles, high-end speakers, sound systems, vinyl-inspired furnishings and site-specific installations presented alongside a programme of music, art, wellness and cultural events.

From online gallery to physical cultural experience
 

Founded in 2025 by Manfredi Moretti and Jules Guérard, International Design is launching as an online curatorial platform spotlighting collectible design and contemporary art, while simultaneously developing a programme of physical cultural experiences.

The founders bring backgrounds that naturally converge around the worlds of design, luxury, hospitality, music and international culture.

Florence-born Moretti grew up within an artistic and fashion-oriented family and has lived across eleven countries. He founded Manfredi Style in 2015, curating exhibitions and galleries from Milan to Singapore, while also developing a career as a DJ under the name Manfredi 大人.

Paris-born Guérard, meanwhile, has worked within leading luxury houses including Jean Paul Gaultier, Clarins and Armani Beauty, alongside more than a decade as a DJ performing under the alias JESUS across London, Ibiza and Berlin.

Their shared experience of music, international cultures and luxury markets has shaped International Design's approach: collectible design is not intended simply to be placed on a pedestal, but experienced within a wider cultural context.

Following Cosmic Sound in Ibiza, International Design plans to develop further cultural experiences in Berlin, Paris and New York, creating a global network connecting collectors, designers, artists, hospitality partners and cultural institutions.

When sound becomes sculpture
 

For Cosmic Sound, the central temple at Nômade will become an immersive exhibition environment, with works positioned across its terraces and architectural spaces.

The exhibition's earth-toned architecture will provide a backdrop for a collection in which technology, craftsmanship, materiality and performance intersect. A distinctive blue stripe running alongside the staircases will guide visitors through the space, creating a visual journey through the exhibition.

Among the works on display will be DJ consoles, sculptural speakers and sound-based installations that challenge conventional ideas of what audio equipment can look and feel like.

Jacob Egeberg, for example, reimagines the DJ console around the idea of a sonic rock, transforming a raw organic material into a sculptural object that connects geological forms with contemporary technology.

Jacopo Gonzato x Vismara present Paloma, a DJ console combining high-fidelity acoustic technology with a late-1970s-inspired aesthetic. Its warm, geometric form incorporates the technical elements of the audio system into a piece of sculptural furniture.

With the X Deck, Arielle Assouline-Lichten explores light, reflection and ephemerality through polished stainless steel and brass. The minimalist console interacts with its surroundings as daylight is reflected across its mirror-like surface.

YONT Studio takes a more brutalist approach, creating a monolithic console influenced by Berlin's underground music culture and the architectural language of brutalism.

Elsewhere, Sara Ricciardi's poetic Willow Tree uses hanging golden threads, hydrophones and metal bells, activated by wind and passing visitors. Olivia Steele contributes handwritten neon installations, while Emily Thurman presents sculptural bronze and metal bell chimes.

The exhibition also features work by Francesco Maria Messina, whose stone-based piece explores architecture and material experimentation.

Together, the works create a journey through sound, craft and material - moving between functional design, sculpture and immersive installation.

An exhibition activated by music
 

The founders' own history within electronic music is central to the exhibition's approach.

Rather than treating collectible design as a static presentation, Cosmic Sound will be activated throughout its eleven-day residency through a programme developed with Nômade's artistic team.

The programme is set to include an exclusive preview, opening and closing dinners, sunset sessions, artist conversations, wellness and NeuroArt experiences, live performances and DJ sets.

Adding another layer of Ibiza's music culture to the opening, Ibiza Global Radio will stream live from Nômade Temple on the opening night, 30 September, from 9pm to 11pm.

The broadcast will extend the experience beyond the exhibition itself, connecting the physical installation with Ibiza's wider electronic music community and international audience.

The selection reflects International Design's broader curatorial philosophy: to bring together distinctive works where art, design, technology and cultural experience overlap.

For Nômade Temple, the exhibition also aligns with its positioning as a space for hospitality, culture, wellbeing and community. Throughout the exhibition, collectors, artists, cultural figures and members of Ibiza's creative community will come together around music as a universal connector.
