More than 150,000 people attended Sónar Week 2026

On Saturday, June 20, 2026, the 33rd edition of Sónar came to a close in spectacular fashion with an unprecedented final day. For the first time in the festival's history, six stages operated simultaneously within a single venue, delivering 14 consecutive hours of music from 5:00 pm until 7:00 am. A true marathon of electronic music.
Highlights of the Final Day
Festivalgoers warmly welcomed performances by Skepta, Cabaret Voltaire, Charlotte de Witte and Metrika, while The Prodigy's long-awaited festival debut, along with live sets from WhoMadeWho and Modeselektor and Amelie Lens' audiovisual show, proved to be among the day's biggest highlights. The 360-degree STOOR Live performance also generated huge enthusiasm during its third consecutive appearance on the SonarCar stage, with Speedy J joined by Dasha Rush, Luke Slater, Mathew Jonson and Ø [Phase].
Sónar+D Ends with More Than 4,000 Attendees
The 13th edition of Sónar+D also received outstanding feedback, welcoming more than 4,000 attendees and 200 speakers from over 20 countries to its new venue at Llotja de Mar. Masterclasses, conferences, panel discussions, workshops and performances explored the emerging landscape of the post-AI world. Among the most acclaimed guests were Monica Rikic, Evicshen, Mindy Seu, Eugene Healey, Joana Moll, Shoeg, niceaunties, AUSGANG Studio, Volvox Labs, Arts Korea Lab and numerous young local artists showcasing the latest developments in digital art experimentation.
Once again, Sónar and Sónar+D also hosted the AI & Music powered by S+T+ARTS programme and the collaborative TIMES project, featuring a packed schedule of concerts, DJ sets, talks and workshops exploring the relationship between artificial intelligence and music. The return of Sónar Kids at Parc del Fòrum was equally successful, with activities, workshops and performances designed for families. The event sold out four days before opening.
Barcelona, the Capital of Electronic Music
Together with the new Sónar District format and the OFFSónar series at Poble Espanyol, Sónar once again confirmed Barcelona as the world's electronic music capital throughout June. A series of outstanding one-day festivals featured performances by elrow, Keinemusik, Metamorfosi, Solid Grooves and many more.
