UNTOLD 2026: Four Days of Electronic Music, Global Superstars and Unforgettable Nights in Cluj-Napoca

UNTOLD ONE 2026 turned Cluj-Napoca into one of Europe's biggest electronic music destinations, bringing together EDM superstars, house and techno heavyweights, underground selectors and more than 500,000 festival visits across four extraordinary days.

For four days and four nights, Cluj-Napoca became a meeting point for the global electronic music community as UNTOLD ONE celebrated the beginning of a new chapter for one of Europe's most ambitious festivals - and the Ibiza Global Radio crew was proud to experience it on the ground, broadcasting from the spectacle as official media partners.

The opening two days alone brought more than 250,000 attendees, with over 120,000 people arriving on the first day and more than 130,000 on the second. The final night added another 140,000-plus festivalgoers, underlining the extraordinary scale of this year's edition.
But beyond the numbers, UNTOLD ONE's defining feature was its breadth of electronic music. 

Across the Mainstage, Galaxy and Daydreaming stages, the festival moved effortlessly between huge EDM productions, house, techno, melodic sounds and underground club culture.

Day 1: James Hype and Carl Cox set the tone

The festival opened with a strong electronic statement.

On the Mainstage, James Hype made his first UNTOLD appearance, delivering the kind of high-energy performance that has made him one of the defining names of the contemporary dance scene. The British DJ was visibly impressed by the scale of the crowd gathered for his set.

The night then moved into more club-focused territory at Galaxy, where Persic B2B Paul Svenson, RBØR, Priku and Cezar prepared the ground for one of the weekend's most anticipated performances.

Carl Cox returned to UNTOLD, taking over the Galaxy Stage and delivering a memorable techno-driven set that carried the crowd through the night and towards sunrise.

The Mainstage offered its own electronic spectacle through The Chainsmokers, whose performance became one of the emotional highlights of the opening night as tens of thousands of fans sang along to their biggest records.

Day 2: Kygo, Ingrosso, Marshmello and Tchami

The second day pushed the electronic programme even further.

After pop girl of the moment, Zara Larsson, delivered an uplifting and fun show on the Mainstage, Kygo transformed the stadium into a tropical-house celebration, with tens of thousands of fans singing along to his international hits.

The energy then moved into festival-scale territory with Sebastian Ingrosso, whose performance brought the unmistakable atmosphere of Swedish House Mafia to Cluj.

Marshmello followed with an explosive EDM show before French producer Tchami closed the Mainstage. One of the pioneers of future house, Tchami provided a distinctly club-focused conclusion to the night.

For those looking for a deeper electronic experience, Galaxy offered GORDO, whose high-energy set connected strongly with the crowd.

Day 3: Martin Garrix, Lost Frequencies and a techno takeover

Saturday brought another heavyweight electronic programme.

On the Mainstage, Lost Frequencies set the stage for one of the weekend's biggest performances before Martin Garrix returned to UNTOLD.

Garrix is one of the artists with the strongest history at the festival, and his latest appearance once again combined huge festival anthems, spectacular production and the kind of crowd connection that has made his UNTOLD performances particularly memorable. His set also featured a surprise appearance from Romanian star Loredana Groza, who joined him for a special remix of her iconic track “Lele.”

Tujamo then brought the Mainstage into the final stretch of the night with an explosive performance.

But Saturday's electronic story was arguably just as compelling away from the Mainstage.

Galaxy moved firmly into underground territory, with Joseph Capriati delivering a powerful techno set before Solomun took control of the stage. The Diynamic boss and one of the most influential figures in contemporary house and techno created an intense, late-night atmosphere for the Galaxy crowd.

The programme continued with Mau P, representing a newer generation of house music, while Holy Priest brought the stage towards sunrise.

Daydreaming offered another side of the electronic spectrum, with artists including Lee Burridge, Tinlicker DJ Set and Shimza, further demonstrating how widely UNTOLD's programme stretched beyond mainstream EDM.

Day 4: The final electronic music marathon

The final night showed that UNTOLD ONE had saved plenty of energy for its closing chapter.

The Mainstage became a giant electronic playground, with MEDUZA, Afrojack B2B R3HAB, Alan Walker and Steve Aoki among the major names driving the final night.

The Italian trio MEDUZA brought their MEDUZA 3Live concept to Romania for the first time, combining DJ performance, live instrumentation and their signature house sound. The show had been one of the most anticipated electronic premieres of the edition.

Alan Walker followed with his cinematic, melodic take on festival EDM, while Steve Aoki brought his trademark high-impact energy to the closing stretch. Afrojack B2B R3HAB added another heavyweight EDM moment to the final night.

For electronic music fans, however, the Galaxy Stage once again provided an alternative route through the night.

Jamie Jones and Sara Landry represented two very different sides of contemporary club culture, while MRAK added his darker, melodic sound. On other stages, Jan Blomqvist and Major League DJZ extended the electronic journey towards sunrise, while Andy C brought drum & bass energy to the Alchemy Stage.

The result was a closing night that moved from huge Mainstage EDM productions to underground techno, melodic electronica and drum & bass - a fitting conclusion to a festival built around musical variety.

Ibiza Global Radio connects UNTOLD with Ibiza

As official media partner, Ibiza Global Radio was part of the UNTOLD experience, bringing its connection to Ibiza's electronic music culture into the heart of Cluj-Napoca.

The partnership also featured sets by Dario Di Bona and WOLO, whose presence connected the festival with Ibiza Global Radio's international DJ community.

It was a natural fit for an edition in which electronic music played such a central role. From Carl Cox and Joseph Capriati to Solomun, Jamie Jones and Sara Landry, UNTOLD ONE offered a strong representation of the sounds that continue to shape global club culture - while the Mainstage brought those sounds to an audience of tens of thousands.

Following the grand finale, the theme for the 2027 edition of the exhilarating electronic music festival was revealed: UNTOLD STAR. Taking place between August 5–8, the first 20,000 passes for next year’s edition sold out within just a few minutes.
